I'm sure someone knows what this is. I don't, but it's mighty pretty.

I don't like designs where the upper horn curves outward like that. The upper strap button points the wrong way. Puts the bass in an awkward position. This one's even worse than a Wankwick Corvette.

That fretboard won't wear down so quicly, let me tell you. And no dead spots either. Quick attack of carbon might be interesting in combination with the more sluggish response of a fretless.

Jaco is to blame for the folly of putting the only pups that bass has so close to the bridge. For that wonderful car-bony sound.

As a boutique bass, it's in a league of its own. Not my taste - to artsy for me (reminds me of Ritter basses) -, but eminently better than the umpteenth Jazz Bass lookalike that professes to be "better than the real thing". Yawn.

Looks like the Marquis de Sade Gold Edition of the Longhorn.

Cedar is a tone wood?

"Tone wood" is an euphemism for "doesn't look like much, but can carry a frequency". Cedar has been used for acoustic guitar tops a lot and for a long time, second only to spruce (from which you can make a solid body too, my Parker Fly is made of spruce, no drawbacks other than that it is unreasonably light).

I think it should be finished in flesh tones.............................

It's not that's it bad, I'm sure it's beautifully assembled - It's just the antithisis of what I want from a Bass Guitar.

I'm sure you can get some spectacular tones out of it and the sustain is probably endless.

Here's the perfect gift to go along with it. Matches the horns too!
