No, sorry Jim.  That one's going to the UK in 2 weeks. You're #5 in the queue (#3 after that one).  I've been working on the JAEbird II and am close to finalizing it.

So Carlo, with the Mohawk paint, you don't have to grain fill the mahogany?

Bill I usually only fill grain on finishes when the grain shows. For solid colors I shoot a couple of coats of sanding sealer. Not sure what Carlo is doing.

Right, Doc, no grain filler.  Sand to 180.  2 sealer apps, sand to 400. 2 topcoat apps.  Wetsand 600, 1000, 1500.  Buff.

Yep, works well.  I'm exploring a proprietary bridge/tailpiece.  Unlike Gibson I have the will and resources to do that.
