I love that bass part.  This is the method I used to learn the bass way back in the late 70's.  Used vinyl records back then, sometimes cassettes.  It sure is different playing the same part with a live band though!

Very nice indeed. It would be interesting to know where exactly in the writing process the bassline gets decided.

The climbup has a stutter note but other than that, excellent job.
Did that song for 6 years in a cover band in 74~80....
