Waaooow!  :o  The uppers kick in about 1:35.  Gotta admire his coordination!   ;D ;D

I have little useful to contribute here, other than I suspect that one of these guys is a bass player:

Also, this clip of Tim Bogert comes to mind:

John Alec Entwistle is my favourite onstage dancer.

LOL! Thanks for that, Harry (and Ilan). He really gets going right after the 1:30 mark.

I'm sure I've seen a few over the years, just can't quite remember who.

Ever seen Billy Bacon & the Forbidden Pigs? Billy does a little choreographed routine with the upright bass he uses on the first few numbers of a set, but it's not in the few videos of him online.

Why, you ask?

As a drummer it's interesting to note that drumming is like dancing sitting down.
I've mostly been sitting down playing the bass too, sitting in a nice executive chair.
I've even thot of taking it onstage if I ever get good enuf to go onstage. heh
Has a bassplayer ever done that?
B.B. King sits thru most of his shows now.
OTOH~ I figure I should stand up like most performers other than drummers.
I reckon I oughta get so into it I dance if I wanna make others dance.
Saw a young band recently & the bassplayer was sproingin' around like he had a built in pogo stick.
He looked ridiculous but still...
It made me wonder if I could do that or if anyone good has done that.
Chuck Berry sure was cooool doin' his signature Duckwalk.

ZZTop! Good call, Kenny. Synchronized dancing is pretty cool even if it's casual.

I'm wondering how radical a bassplayer could get dancin' & keep playing well.

Saw a great reggae band awhile back with a big black cat on bass who spun around & jumped up on the drum riser then froze as the music came to an abrupt halt.
Then he jumped off the riser as they continued the song, it was AWESOME!

This guy's no bass player, but a lot of things can be forgiven concerning Wilco Johnson. Watch and learn:
http://www.you

This one, with Wilco, and the extremely talented bass player Norman Watt-Roy, like a waiting panther.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-r9jcBxBDNUtube.com/watch?v=HexESKQhUuA

And here, with Dr Feelgood, and Sparko on bass. The way Sparko's got his Fender rig is spelled with one C, two O:s, and one L!

I'm sorry if I helped steering this project off the road... But one has to agree that the keyboardist could - with just a slight training - become a new Fred Astaire. Or?

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Chris Squire.  The guy moves in one rhythm while playing in another.

Never heard of Racey before.

When their first lines rhymed "seventeen" and "teenage queen" I clicked the stop button. It can only go downhill from there.

FYC always reminded more of a constipated epileptic fit than dancing.  But, it was a nice sighting of a G&L L-2000 in action.

  I knew he looked familiar.

I've heard the Sundazed compilation album, that and a cover of The Last Thing On My Mind were the only good tracks. Jan wasn't with them for long, she left for the Mojo Men.

I can potentially understand why you were "Exiled"...  ;D

That Aphroditie's Child recording - 666 - try playing "infinity" (is it?) loud, with headphones... truly wierd ("I was I was I am to come...")

Vangelis fan, so in my collection from many years back...

Demis is on the Bladerunner soundtrack, too... just works... the "market" scene...

(sad geek alert...!)

I wandered through (read "drunken haze") a fair amout of Greece in the 80's, mainland and islands - nearly ended up living on Rodos in '82 - ran out of money and went home...  YAMAS...! ;D my biggest regret was not being able to see the original "dolphin" fresco (Kriti - Knossos)as that section of the museum was closed for works during the entire time I was there...  one day, I'll go back...

I have an Island mentality, so I loved the laid-back lifestyle...  ;)

Trust Austrians to have a bad taste. That's one of the things nice about Frankfurt, the Nazis hated it. When Frankfurt surrendered to US Forces in 1944 without firing a shot, Goebbels wrote disgustedly in his diary: "That figures. You could never expect nothing much from Frankfurt." It was a "liberal jew town" to them.
