Cataldo 5 string NR in surf green on eBay
« on: September 27, 2012, 08:24:28 AM »
Saw this yesterday and it's ending in less than an hour. I shouldn't bid on it so I thought I'd post it for you guys.
Looks like an awesome price on one of Carlo's prettiest basses.

Congrats. If it were a four stringer I would have bid.

Glad you got it Scott.  I was seriously tempted but I think the string spacing is a bit tight for my tastes.

Glad you got it, Scott.  I was considering buying it back from Tom myself.  The price barely covers the parts in that bass.  Also has an $80 RockBag, the best IMO.  If you've ever considered playing a Fiver, this one would be the obvious choice.  Definitely has the TBird sound, including the B string.  Strings are DR.   Pickup is a 66 spec EX5.(Extended Range 5 string) ThunderBucker.  Looking forward to hearing what you think!

If I were to play a fiver this would be it. I couldn't let it go begging. I am sure it will be a nice addition, can't hurt to have a 5string in the arsenal. :)
