Burman pro4000
« on: May 15, 2009, 01:54:59 AM »
Stumled upon a Burman pro 4000 amp the other day. For sale on a dutch aution site:

Looks like an interesting amp! Point To Point wiring. The four KT77 powertubes should deliver about 120 watts I think.
Any experiences? Opinions?

I've never seen or heard one but I understand Burman stuff is  pretty unique. They're said to be a very well  designed  head that duplicates  just about everything  else out there, and they even make their own speakers.

Looks like a Dave Reeves (Hiwatt) influence inside that head...

You may have something there. As I said , I never saw or heard one of these, but I do remember a lot of talk that they were really something special.

I bought a 50 watt tube combo for my friends son a couple of years ago: £80.00!
