Rare concert photo: long scale bass, no wig
« on: February 14, 2011, 03:12:02 PM »
We played a fundraising concert on Sunday for the Flood Relief Appeal here.  Was nice to play a gig with a long scale bass and without a wig  [smilie=music-smiley-005.gif]

Cheers

There's not enough of me to go around, so Mark is slowly becoming my Doppleganger in the Southern Hemishpere :D

Dark Star.......Nice bass

It's the first bass I grab for a power trio gig these days.  The best way to describe the Dark Star is "authoritative"

I have mine strung with rounds but have been thinking about some flats.  IMO this pickup needs some tension on the string to avoid occasional pop from hitting the magnets if i really dig in.     Pickup must be to close because of the way the top is crowned.  Never an issue on fany other bass i own.    What strings are on your bass???
