I always liked his version over the original but boy talk about giving it all to the audience.

I like Tom Jones. He actually has quite a soulful voice and puts on a good show.

As my mother in law (78) has repeatedly observed: "You can still hold a prayer even in old chapels." And good old Tom is the high priest of that, a real hot flush rush. Nothing wrong with that, there is a largely untapped market for it.

There are darn few singers that have the vitality and drive in their voice that Tom Jones has had for 40 years.  He's DA man!

And I like this version better than the original, too.  At least I can make out the words in this one - the original was mostly incoherent.
