New song. Is it a Rivoli?

Is this some fiendish plot to trick me into watching a U2 video?

Nope. I'm THE U2 hater. I have this book called I Killed Bono at home:)

Unfortunately I saw it on TV, so I thought: let's post it here. In that way I don't have to see it again, to spot the bass;)

Adam Clayton still hasn't found what he is looking for basswise.

Rush said everything there is to say about U2 years ago on their 2112 (did I get the figure right?) album:

"And the meek shall inherit the earth."

And if Rush says so it must be true   :o

Can't see what's so wrong about U2.
I'm not a fan, but I don't hate 'em like some apparently do

I gotta agree with Tom, I quit being a Rush fan long ago when they stopped writing good songs. Geddy put down the Rick and lost all the magic.
U2, I'll love for the ages. "I will follow" still gives me gooosebumps when I hear it. :)

Bono is nothing if not meek.  :P

I do think there's an ever-so-slight possibilty that Rush may have plagiarized that statement.

Wow I don't know where to go one this one, U2s' biggest problem is they only release something every five or six years ( I guess solving the worlds' problems cuts into studio time ) as for Rush, though I don't listen to them on a daily basis ( like I did when I was 18 ) they were in fine form last year when I saw them, the Ged even brought the Ric out for a song or two ( but he should leave the red fretless thing back in Canada )

All in all two band that have been around much longer than most with (mostly) the original members ( John Rutsey! ) and still managing to be relavent to their fanbases.

 ;D

Than to feel you deep in my heart
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to never feel the breaking apart
All my pictures of you

U2 has to be the world's most self-righteous snore-fest in the world. Just an outright dismal band; one of my three most hated.

How many songs does the EDGE (what a stupid moniker... who in gods name does he think he is, a professional wrestler?) play using a delay pedal? Sure is a great crutch huh.

Never been a U2 fan, although I did like 'the fly'

So was it a Rivoli? (for all those who can't bear to bring themselves to watch it)

He played a non rev for a bit IIRC

Any other Gibsons?

Embedding is disabled, search for iqHAreIrMXA and you'll find it. I looked at about 90 seconds of it, from several very short glances it looks like a Rivoli or EB2 to me.

Rob's rockin' the screencap!  ;D

Thanks, now I don't have to go through the video.

On the U2 question I'm torn. Bono's insufferable self importance can be grating, but he seems to be somewhat sincere in his naiveté, and I can't fault him if he sincerely wants to help people. Then again, I don't see him living a comfortable middle class lifestyle and donating his surplus to helping the poor, so there may be a slight bit of hypocrisy going on there.

The disappointment for me is that U2 are a band that's capable of producing some pretty cool music, but instead seem content to sit around waiting for Bono to come around after continuing to disappear up his own arse.
