Be careful, look at your risk: mudbuckers unleashed (and my favourite shirt from New Delhi!):

I was thinking to do that, but the satsfaction to play with a pickup done by myself has no price. I winded several by hands, and frankly this is not the best I did, but I will replace only with an original one

I have the ring, I just need to find some time to install

This is how it looks like: not different from my avatar with the dummy screws.

Gibson Basses / My Grabber
« on: November 01, 2010, 08:53:45 AM »
This is my Grabber that I completed with the help of Shadowcastaz who sold me tuners, bridge, and string holder

It all original except the pickup that is an Humbucker that I winded manually at 8k,  wiring harness, neck plate, decal, strap holders, knobs, bridge cover and screws.
Former owner stripped the neck, and I preferred to give it some wax and not refinish. The neck is from 1975 (99XXXXXX serial code) and the seller of the body (well reliced) told me that is a 1974.

It is a very nice light bass, the pickup slides well (I got the sliding plate from greatdealz) and is amazing how the tone changes in upper and lower position.

Well I ordered my Fenderbird. I am waiting for confirmation from Roman and hopefully I will get by end of the month!

I would just inform that I carefully drilled the two lateral holes of the TB three-holes cover in the Artec pickup and it still works perfectly. In this way I can better regulate the distance between the PU and the strings. I did not drill the central hole and put just a dummy screw.

My room is filled with 18 basses, about 3500 vynils LPs and more than 10000 cds (its just an estimation, I lost control of them).
I think that you can imagine what is my hobby.

I am going to refinish in black the headstock of my cherry bachbird to make it similar to the original one. Do you know if any pickup cover is going to be available from greatdealz?
