The Slot head with something extra
« on: December 08, 2010, 05:54:56 PM »
I think this one might sound fun.  It could be a Model G or it could be the Schaller copy, but it is a fun install and not the typical Model One.

Model One and Schallers?  Ish.

I'd guess Model G. Were the Schallers even offered in cream/white?

He doesn't even mention the obvious neck break. That makes me wonder if it's properly repaired. Other than that, it does look good.

With all due respect: That thing looks horrible in there. Even Scott wouldn't do something like that.

Yes - the Schallers came in cream.  Pretty much identical outside.

I just saw the crack behind the nut.  Maybe it was a scratch filled with plastic wood.  It is a Gibson after all, so we should expect cracks.  I like the look.  I like the see-through mudbucker patch.  Nothing stealth about it, and no P or J pup vulgarity.  Brass nut, big ass speed knobs, and mini toggles - I can't imagine what the second one would do.  It is blatant!

The seller either knows nothing about instruments or is playing dumb.  Little chance of getting a coherent description of the instrument or its condition.
