You're killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o
-
That's a great price If it's not a Conversion-
If anyone is really serious about this bass I would check with Kevin at Goodguys as he knows Mr Cooper and his basses and might be able to shed light on it's history.
-
By conversion do you mean the second pup was added aftermarket?
-
I'm not sure but I remember Kevin & Tony carl talking about hoe many TB II's have been converted to IV's
A refin and low price mke it suspect. If that were a clean refin it should go for more than that. That's a tbird II refin price.
I guess even if it were, still seems like a fair price, if the neck has not been repaired as he stated.
Like I said Kevin Borden knows him and should have an opinion.

I just keep telling myself I like IIs way better ! The second pup gets in they way of what passes for my playing style.
-
This is Kevin's reply-
Thats what they go for. I'll sell ya my Frosty at the same price.
-
Ah if I only had the coin.
-
It was pulled.
-
Beautiful bass! Can't wait to see the BaCH!
-
I know Joe pretty well myself and as far as I can remember that bass was a IV when he got it and the headstock wasn't broken either. It was refined in some kind of candy red and he refinned it Polaris. So, as far as I can remember (as he has had it a while) it is a legit unbroken IV. I have no idea why it was pulled.

I'm guessing he sold it privately.
