The Blue ones are rare, but 3.000 sounds more EB-750 than -650. 2.000 more like.

I still haven't heard of an EB-650 selling for over $2500, no matter what someone claims it's worth.

Yep, $2500 is top dollar for one in recent years.  I stole mine for $850 from a local music store a couple years ago.

Your memory is better than mine, but I was pretty sure one sold for over $2k a while back.

:)  The boys at the HOG didn't care for it anyway, so I was happy to get it out of their inventory!  Of course the knuckle heads lost the original case for it!  It fits nicely in a Casady bass case though.

Some of these when new must have sat in stores for several years.

The story I got was this bass had been on the shelf since 1992!!!!  I bought it somewhere around 2005 or so.  It's plausible since HOG will often buy multiples of new guitars and stock them in their warehouse, bringing them out a few at a time.  I also know they will hold some items until they become scarce and then haul them out for sale at an increased price.
