I have them in my Gretsch 6072 hollowbody, and if they are the same specs, they are nice, solid pups.  Very deep and bassy without being muddy.   Lots of power too!

As for the wiring setup, I ordered a harness from TV Jones that will give me the pup selector switch as well as a master volume, which I love having on my basses.

Thanks!  The tuners are self-locking Sperzels.  Bass Parts Resource has them.

Thanks!

What I was referring to was black being the hardest finish to do & how Dr Bassman has progressed to be able to snatch the pebble from Master's hand (Kung Fu TV show). Carridine's Master called him Grasshopper. When Grasshopper could snatch the pebble from masters hand it was time to horribly burn his arms by carrying a hot searing kettle into the snow &  then leave.

Dr Bassman is much like Kung Fu, except the kinky sex in the closet part (that I am aware of )

Dr Bassman started out as a Grasshopper but now is a master craftsman.

I used the Sperzel tuners on my EB-0 project bass and they work great. They have really narrow posts though, so will not retro fit many basses.

Also they come in groovy colors!

Now I see!  It was a reference from Kung Fu!  I hadn't heard "grasshopper" used in this context in years!  Thanks so much for the really huge compliment.  Right now, I'm good at duplicating other people's creations.  Some day, I need to create something new or original.  Don't know if I have it in me or not!  Thanks again!
