Thanks guys.  Wow Peter, that is a pretty radical bass you posted!  I agree with Chris, you're basses are much cooler!  I'll keep the  posts coming as I make progress.  This weekend was tied up with Mother's Day stuff, so I never made it down to the shop!!!

All the binding is on the body, the fret board/truss rod are finished and I put binding on the neck today.  We're getting there!

I was leaning towards red but my wife thinks black would be be great with all of the pearl binding.  I'm beginning to think she's right!

ANy chance you could do a transparent black with grain showing?  That would be fantastic looking!

I just snagged two Gretch Trons off eBay, same one's Pilgrim just bought.  I like that look on this bass and the price was too good to pass up!

I filed it a little then used the big scraper in the picture above.
