That's interesting, I assumed that a taste test could evaluate the age of the submitted specimen material - fresh from the nozzle, hours old, days, weeks, already powdery etc -, but ancestral heritage detection at the tip of the tongue?

My wife and her (remaining) sister got their test done (to overcome a dubious story we heard about her mum during the KY family reunion in 2003) and confirmed they had the same dad, and then they discovered they had a half-sister who was a few months older than their late older sister...
Turns out their dad was playing the field when he was in the USAF and based over here...
Dodgy stuff these DNA test kits... :o
I also think the idea of a malt whisky taste test would be more inclusive... :mrgreen:
