My 'transplant patients' were purchased with modification to wear specific pickups in mind:

The one on the left is still in the nest, but the Jag moved south to live with Carlo... 8)

A couple of Ric 4003S's that I no longer own. I sold them to fund the purchase of a 4001V63

Love the S's!

Love the S's!

I did too, dut I love the v63 more.

The black one is a '92 i think, it was a refin when I bought it for $550 in 1999. The Fireglo is from 1981 and it's a darker finish that I really like.

Here is a group picture of all the Rics I currently own, '86 4001v63:

The herd as of right now. "Carlo Robelli" J copy, JB Player P copy, and Hondo J copy. Wait, how did I end up with so many fake Fenders?

And if it looks right side up on my computer, why is it crooked now? Jeez...
If it was good enough for Danny Bonaduce, it ought to be good enough for fake bass players everywhere!

The NMPB (Neil Murray Precision Bass) is now completed and it has a doublejazz with a coil tap on the bridge, two volumes and a tone with a pull-push switch for stereo/mono (in mono mode both outputs put out the same signal). The Hosco bodied P bass on the right has a new neck. 1975 Precision neck with a fake spaghetti logo (the original logo was wiped ages ago) and a nicely aged nitro finish on the front. It has been "driven in" on thousand gigs or so and feels as good as those kind of necks usually do.

That P on the right looks especially comfy!

Took a few group photos of the Rics while the blonde one is still present...

It's a P pickup from a Jazz bass Special but reversed ala BB2000 or Spector etc. The cover is made from P pickup covers.

I don't post here much if it all, I'm a long time lurker, but thought this being the first pic of the herd setup I may aswell...

Left to right- Greg Bennet acoustic, White Burns Bison, white Epi bird, Silverburst Epi bird(new pickups just sent for this), Spector Rebop 5, Spector Rebop 4, Azumi 80's p bass neck through faker, Warwick Rockbass $$, Cort Action(first bass), Lag jet Guitar, then last but not least Hagstrom Hb-8.
