How's your Clutch?
« on: October 24, 2009, 12:18:54 AM »
One of those bands I'd heard of but who seemed to fly below my radar until tonight. Nofi posted this video up top and I'm hooked:

The LP was just a start... While perusing their videos I found this:

This bassist (Dan Maines) would fit in just fine here:

Not only an SG-Z, but CHROME, baby! I like these guys...  ;D

I had to replace the clutch in my '89 Civic after 208,000 miles.   Sadly I no longer have the car.  My '94 Toyota Truck's clutch is still going strong with just under 71,000 miles.

I thought you might have been inferring something about the reflection in that pup in that last shot, George...  ;)

Pretty cool band. Remind me of Five Horse Johnson a bit.

The harmonica player in the Worry video is from FHJ.

ME TOO! ;D

Damn, that was one awful cartoon.  Wasn't that some of the earliest Japanese stuff?  I made my 19 year old daughter watch a couple of minutes of it - she was so creeped out by the superimposed mouths that she ran shrieking from the room ;D  This makes Johny Quest look high tech ;)

Have you ever noticed the similarity in the way Greta van Susteren talks and the way the mouths move in Clutch Cargo? It's frightening.

I'm not seeing any chrome in there... looks like a wooden cover to me.

Chrome reflection, no? I can see how it looks like wood, but the 'grain' changes with every screen grab. I'm thinking it's the light playing off an otherwise dark bass.

Giorgio Carlstone, our Italian Stallion, knows all about chrome reflections and how objects in the rearview mirror may appear larger than they are. To the untrained eye.
