Purdy. But even purdier had they extended the pick guard to also include the minibucker, looks a bit makeshift the way it is now.

That seems pretty pointless, besides looking like someone's home project.

Of course Gibson. A mount ring for a mount ring.

What were they thinking?

Maybe sounds more like an EB-3L with the mini bucker? They should do another with just a neck pickup but leave the plastic over the bridge pickup route and call it the God of Thunder tribute. It would also have to have a badbird bridge of course.

This is a work of art.

What do you expect for a mere $1800?  Perfection?

It's a feature!
You pay extra for them

"Gibson ModTM Collection products may have minor cosmetic defects which are listed in the Warranty Evaluation for each product. These defects are AS-IS and are not covered under the Gibson ModTM Collection's Limited Warranty"

The fact that "perfection" and "Gibson" share their last two letters is a minor commonality you guys tend to overrate in your projected expectations. Think nothing of the sort, the two concepts are not related and never have been.

The only defect is the slight crack in the lacquer under the nut shelf. The nut is too narrow so there's a gap at the end of the slot. The lacquer has sunk in an ugly manner there and the nut has been oddly masked off leading to that line of lacquer. The tooling marks on the side of the nut are also slightly unforgivable. Complacent luthiery rather than outright bad work or overt damage.

Evidence of a disempowered workforce phoning the job in, even on a special run?

If you watch that Gibson factory tour video to the end you will see that many instruments that do not pass final inspection are sent to the mod shop. Mod shop guitars are not special runs, they are just trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

That's exactly what these are.
