I still have the Vista Sonic and I love it. Nothing to do with modern 'Burns' basses. This one has low impedance humbuckers like a Gibson LP Signature, Recording or Triumph. And it doesn't sound like any other bass.
I'll post some pics soon!
At the moment I have a lim ed Shadows Bass at home. Really handcrafted in the UK. It's a very good copy of the real '64 Shadows Bass. it's a real good lokker, but soundwise it's more like a Jazz with extra added neck pick up. But compared to the cheap Marquee Bass it's gorgeous!!!!
I'll post some pics soon!

The 'thing' is a seventies Kustom bass head I bought for 50 euros. It ousnds pretty well and I only use it as a back up. I had some tube problems with my Orange and the Dutch agent replaced two of four power tubes. I ordered four new ones and I use this as back up.

I won't get into the invasion discussion this time....
The bass actually sounds a lot better. 'SG' is engraved into this cover, so it has a little less weight than a plain cover. The extra added miligrams of weight of the black cover ad sustain, heaviness to the sound. It is slightly more neck heavy, but I'm used to that because of the T-Bird.

Of course the tuners and pots are bad o the Squier, but it really is a nice bass, especially with that price tag. As Bart! Said: Basvarken he and I tried several Gibsons, Fenders, Epiphones and other brands and my '64 Burns and the cheap Tele were real surprises. try one out.
