Gary, are you familiar with The Boyzz? (not a glam band, I know)
Oh, yeah! We did a couple gigs with them. The drummer I mentioned in the double kick thread was Kent Cooper. He and I spent a few nights talking, and were very close to putting a band together before I got laid up in my car accident. Dan Buck joined one of my later bands, or so we thought, only to turn around and boot me out of my own band, Thief, after only a couple practices. That was to become Dirty Dan and the Trash Band, but didn't pan out. No love lost between us. Gil Pini was one of the best guitarists I ever saw (with perfect pitch, he could tune up mid-song in front of a Marshall stack), but really went downhill later in Deluxury.
The Boyzz were a really good band that failed to make a dent when their record came out. After a lackluster tour, they came back into Chicago pretty deflated. Their shows turned into 90 minutes of rambling, and they only played about 4 songs. The keyboardist, Anatole, wrote the theme song for America's Most Wanted.
