I got an email from Bach back in January, signed by Roman that said basically the first basses were sent to Europe because it was easiest, but " sending to USA is not very easy due to need to takes each bass in Custom house ."

He goes on to say that they are working on the rest of them and they should go out end of Feb or March.

Check out this thread from the Sunn Discussion Page

http://sunn.ampage.org/sdp/index.php/topic,3997.14.html

George there had some knobs made up by the original supplier. These are 0 - 10 knobs same as the Sixties Sunn's used. I'm not sure if they are the same for a Model T, but I bought some for my 200S and they are top notch, look just like NOS.

Very cool, expensive, no mention of the body wood?

The Grabber II also emulates the original in its use of a thin maple body, as used on the first Grabbers until the change to alder wood in 1975

I would love to have the Ascari in my garage. For now, I'm making do with an MR2.

"Hello. My name is John, and I am left-handed."

Left-handism is overtaking us!!! They must have all been hiding under some stone before ...

Lefty, but you play righty or just a joke?

I am left handed. When I started playing bass, I started lefty. When went to buy a bass I found lefty basses hard to find and expensive, so I switched to righty.

When I was a teen I had a set of lefty golf clubs, after years of not golfing I got invited to a golf outing. Had to rent clubs, they were righty of course. I didn't embarass myself too badly that day.

Hello. My name is John, and I am left-handed.

A few years ago with the Model 1 NR Bird:

And this past weekend, give a camera to a random person and the results might not be the best:

And as a teenager (1969-70) playing my SG-Jr. that had already had the headstock broke. (Yea, that is a Vox Ac-100 behind me. It later suffered a violent allergic reaction to cold beer.)

It sounded funny because it is a diesel. It started on fire because there is a device in the exhaust to burn off particulates to meet emmission requirements.

I don't think Ford would recall its top line truck on a faked video.

Google it.

Quote from: Pickuptruck.com
Ford safety spokesman Dan Jarvis told PickupTruck.com today that, "The video is definitely one of the three trucks we described last week (see below, in the original story). It was sent to us by one of our dealers in Canada, where two of the trucks in the recall were located, and it illustrates why we took action so quickly. We wanted to alleviate any potential safety concerns about this issue right away."

Although not 100% certain of the cause of the fire seen in the video, Jarvis said the truck in the 75-second clip is probably the Super Duty that was started in very cold temperatures (approximately minus 20 to 30 F). Its engine wasn't given enough time to briefly idle and lubricate the turbocharger in the freezing weather before the truck's operator drove off, resulting in a blown bearing seal in the turbo and a leak of combustible fluid (likely oil) into the pickup's DPF.

Jarvis also gave an update on one of the other trucks that had a leaking fuel injector, which caused another instance of flaming exhaust. After shutting off and restarting the motor the problem causing the leak in the injector resolved itself without requiring any further maintenance. It was likely caused by some sort of obstruction that was removed upon the engine's restart.

....Or are they now going to be making enough for everybody on the list?

I would think if they are going to be making 10 at a time it would make sense to satisfy all those interested.

At the time, it was Gibson's attempt to do a Gibson interpretation of a P-bass-type shape.  It might have sold well if they had actually promoted it.

One thing that hurts it IMO is the combination of pointy headstock with a traditional F type body. If it had a 4 in line headstock it would be more acceptable to the masses. Heck, I probably would have kept the one I had that was finished in Heather Poly from the factory.

If I had a choice, I'd take blue before black, but whatever color I'll take it.

You might have to contact the seller to verify the headstock connection. I won a previous auction for the pickups from this bass. This headstock was pictured with the pickups, saying that was the reason for the sale. I also got the control cavity shiels and thumbrest.

Of course he might have had parts from multiple basses.

When I first heard the terms reverse and non-reverse I was confused too, thinking along the same lines as Blazer.

Is something up with that truss rod nut on the 'bird? Looks like its been shaved down.

It looks like there is a problem with the truss rod. The nut is sitting out of the recess some, and the wood between the TR nut and the string nut is pushed out. I wonder about the playability.

BTW I am using the Microsoft browser and it works fine.

I'll abmit to having limited experience, but my first NR bird (that I bought lightly used in 1969) had three strap buttons, just like the one on ebay now. I thought three buttons were standard.
