Hey guys, I have a wild hair about building a 32" scale project. I'm thinking something along the Ric 3000 vein:

Does anyone here have a 3000 that they can trace for me? I'll take it on anything that's handy - digital would be even better - I can Paypal you the scan cost and certainly pay postage. I'd also like an general trace of the peghead a well.
Thanks!

Chris P. has one.

Anyone have a 3000?

Not me... but one day I might get one, I really like short scales (and own 6 shorties). There's a white one on eBay right now, w/EMG pickup:

Thanks Ilan! I'm going to watch it but the EMG thing really sucks  Maybe, the price will stay low and I can snag it unless you're after it? Regardless, with the missing pickup my budget will be kind of low.

The important thing is that no extra routing was done to the body. 3000 Series pickups pop from time to time on eBay, and you can have a new pickguard made. I'm not after it, so go ahead.

Did you PM Chris P. ? He may not have seen the thread.

I haven't yet but will very soon. Thanks

Geez, buyer beware!
This same bass was listed at Elderly on a as is sell - listed with truss rod issues and pickups issues, replacement guard and needing the frets leveled - for $585! The *bay auction is now up to $900+ with 4 hours to go!

*UPDATE* Went for $1009!!

The buyer will be sorry.
-
That is a lot of money even without the issues. I thought $600 top for a fixer-upper beat 3000 and I wasn't aware of the undisclosed neck issues.
Do you think it's possible that the seller bought it from Elderly and fixed the neck and wiring before putting it on eBay? If he didn't, the buyer can and should return it.
Too bad you can't contact eBay buyers anymore.

Hi guys,
Again I'm not that much on the Outpost, but that's because I am moving to another house! From a very small appartment to a small rented house, with a garden for the cats, a shed to make a work bench, an extra room, which will be a music room. Good news only!
It is for sale but I still have my 3000. Any measurements needed?
This week I don't have internet, but I check my hotmail now and then. So please mail me at chris-dekker[at]hotmail.com
BTW: I had to carry a lot of furniture and so, so I lost some weight! ;)
-
Hey Chris - congrats on the house! Don't worry much about the weight loss because after you drink a few beers after the move it just comes right back!
I've sent you and email as well.
-
Chris, you're selling your 3000? Damn! No matter what you're asking, unfortunately it's not in my budget this year. That wouldn't bother me except that you don't see these for sale that often.
-
At least he know it's worth $1009 - minimum ;D
