The new guy with ZZtop rocking out a very cool Cort. I don't see this on the Cort website. Is that an old model or a custom one off?

Congrats on the blinged out new bass. That'd go great on stage with a blue sparkle tuck and roll Kustom amp.

Funny story but what grabs me is the ambitious tour schedule. I looked at what Marty Stuart is doing and he has way more off time dispersed throughout his tour compared to what Deep Purple is about to set out on. Good luck to them making it through all those dates.

My bad.  Loofah comes from a gourd.

Victoria is a carpenter's dream but not mine. The best loofahs come from the ocean. It's a sea vegetable that is great for exfoliation.

The UK needs their own version of John Denver.

Looks like the drummer isn't a team player. Mark did you offer to help him with the make up?  :-*

Sure it's corny but that guy got a pretty good tone from his EB-0. It stood right out in that big mix of singers and instruments.

North Korea makes pretty good music but they can't top Up With People. EB-0 at 1:20 here.

Deep Purple obviously. It was all downhill after Rod Evans and Nicky Simper left.  :vader:

It was no doubt a great thing to witness and I'm glad my kid got to join me and see it as well. The traffic on the way back, on the other hand, was horrendous. Here's a piece from the local news channel about it. There's a little close up video of the eclipse further down the page.

Hey anybody else get a view of it? Here are some pictures I got with my phone in Colebrook NH. You can see Dixville notch next to the ski resort known as the Balsams. The spot I was at was my cousin's Christmas tree farm.

Back in the early 60s, the long shoremen, field hands, lumberjacks and iron workers who doubled as bassplayers needed extra space for their huge meat hooks to navigate around the controls. As the cultural revolution took hold, Gibson realized the stoner hippies playing psychedelic music didn't need as much room for their dainty girly hands. Just a guess.

The wide space control version of the EB-3 is the GOAT. I would swap my 67' EB-3 and EB1 for one of those in a heartbeat, especially one in white a la Bob Daisley or Pelham blue. A slot head with some jazz bass pickups would be fun to jam along with Boston tunes. That's how Tom Scholtz set his up I believe.
