Booker T.
« on: December 01, 2010, 03:28:11 AM »
Life isn't going the way I want it to be. First my girlfriend kicked me out of the house (See Gretsch-thread) and monday night I heard my black cat Booker T. didn't return from his evening walk last friday. If I knew it earlier I could have searched earlier. Now I did it last night for hours in the snow. He has a chip implanted and I posted him missing on every site.
Hope he returns... Sometimes cats get locked up in sheds or somethig.

Without wishing to sound callous, I believe it is more fitting for a cat to one day not return from its nightly forays than to end with a mercy injection by an animal doctor. Die with your furry boots on so to say.

That said, I hope your Kater is alright and will return.

x2! Good mojo for both you and Booker T! More than likely with the snow he holed up somewhere or someone took him in temporarily.

 ..words of encouragement:

My parents used to have a calico cat who would often disappear for weeks and months at a time. She would always return severely emaciately and promptly gorge herself, easily doubling her body weight in a couple of weeks. This happened several times until my wife and I were visiting them and saw her beside the road walking towards their house, a mile away. Turns out there was a crazy lady nearby who would catch her and lock her in her trailer for weeks. She would then escape and return home. We promptly 'catnapped' her. My parents didn't even notice she was gone for almost another year.  She turns 19 this spring and has lived with us for almost ten years.

Booker will be alright. He's probably looking for you.

Chris, I'm really sorry to hear about Booker T., especially since I just lost my cat and we would often post pictures of them and their basses.

I haven't really known what to say, but then this morning I thought of something - didn't you move recently, maybe within the last year? Maybe Booker T. tried to go back to your old house? Someone I know moved within the same city, and her cat walked several miles back to the old house through the city of Oakland - twice! Maybe you could post signs or talk to your old neighbors? It's a long shot, but I really really hope you find him.

Good point, Harry. Or maybe Booker T. is trying to find Chris at his latest location.
