GOT,
Thanks Scott.
Dave got me the info about the spacing ( it was buried somewhere on the DiMarzio site ), looks like the Model one is the one. For whatever reason brown sunbursts only work on NR 'Birds for me. Anyway, I'm really, really into black, so I'm going that way with it ( but I will do the neck in a brownburst ) I'll post some pics as I go along, should have it stripped this evening. I know there may be some debate as to refinishing a semi-vintage bass that's in decent shape, but it's already been modded somewhat and I don't have much invested in it ( the original pup and the DiMarzio will add up close to the total for the bass  :-[ ) I know you're a big fan of the DiMarzio pups and I feel like a little experimentation .
Peace Out,

Scott ( BassVI )

OK, here's the progress ( or regress if you're not into modding )

Headstock repair ( before, during and after )

Headstock face sanded and with a few coats of clear

I'm going to divide this into three sections ( because the hard drive on my computer is making noises ) follow this with the neck and then the body. I'm going to do a little routing ( for the Model One ) now.

I'm taking the liberty of moving the rest of this project to the Project forum as it's become more of a modification and repair than a discussion of " Other Bass Brands" Hope to see you there.......http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=1550.0
