Nice article. Also note the "Kalamazoo's Guitar Legacy" links; they're inviting readers to send them pics of their Kalamazoo-made Gibsons.

Interesting comment about their foreign competition: 

"They were copying (Les Pauls) down to the last flaw," Deurloo said of the foreign competitors."

Hey, in reading the article I see that the last survivors of the Kalamazoo site formed their own outfit, the Heritage Guitar Co:
