Sienna burst with an Antigua pickguard. Olivia's say it's all original, has the correct serial number sticker under the guard.

Not totally unattractive IMHO.

Very odd. The sienna burst is correct for that time period, IIRC antigua was gone by then so it was probably a leftover.

Fender never threw away anything. Leftover Mustang bass pickups got white covers and became the Bullet bass pickups.  Discontinued Bass V bodies were cut down and matched to Musicmaster parts to create the Swinger (or Arrow). Discontinued Electric XII bodies and necks got Mustang bridges became the 6-string Custom (or Maverick). And Antigua itself started as an attempt to save damaged Coronado bodies that had burn marks from gluing the binding. So it's poetic justice that Antigua parts get recycled.

Never seen that fin on a Fender... similar to what I did to the PC...

I like that sienna burst. The PG looks OK, but I'd go with black or aged white.

Nothing is what it seems but everthing is exactly what it is.

It's amazing that such a visually uncoordinated arrangement of finish and pickguard could have survived that long without succumbing to an aesthetically offended individual's desire to correct the composition.  :puke:
This, coming from someone who owns an Antigua precision even. The red strings do nothing to help tie it together either.
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.
