Yesterday at the reunion gig with Superfloor.

What is Charles Bradley's pic doing in the background?

There it is again, that SB 300.

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

That puzzled me too. Somehow the organisation of that festival thought it was a good idea to have posters in the background with Charles Barkley, Van Morrison, Jan Akkerman and Mick Jagger. A rather eclectic selection if you ask me (And awkward even, because Jan Akkerman was on the bill too).

A few days beforehand they asked us if we had pictures that we would like to have projected as a background. So we sent them a picture of the backdrop we used to hang up at gigs. Thinking it would be projected all across the background of the stage. Little did we know it was just some sort of tv screen hanging behind our drummer.
In my opinion that makes the chaos in the background with all the posters even worse.  :o
It was indicative for entire vibe of the festival. All done with the best of intentions, but rather amateuristic altogether.

Love that bass!

I have the same problem at soundcheck, somehow, recently all I can launch into is Nirvana's "Come as you are", where that's coming from, I don't know  :P

I make it easy and just do eighth notes on the E till he says ok and tells me to stop. I'll give 'em more if they ask.

I play the chorus from Calling Dr. Love a lot. Lately been doing Lucy in the Sky.  ;D

I play Daddy Cool until someone laughs.

That's actually a surprisingly non-disco bassline.  Coulda been a post-punk song.
