I need to get one, but it'll probably mean selling a Bird.

Too bad you don't have one to spare! ;D  I'm sure deciding which one to let go of would be an agonizing decision--they're all special in some way.  Have you ever played an LP bass before, Mark?

Long ago, the one designed for recording - that's what I was doing with it too. My Rick was a bit noisy for the studio engineer's taste.

A different beast in every way.  The latest (and now discontinued) versions have a tone that's even more in-your-face than a T-Bird and aren't as much of a handful as you might think.  The only problem is that your fans might not recognize you without a T-Bird

Of the many options relative to T-Birds, I think the Guild 301 and the Explorer are the two basses that would best visually complement Ms. Veronica!

OR how 'bout the love child of those two basses: the seldom-seen Guild X-702, in black holoflake no less!!  It's basically a B-302 that got lost in space.  The scary thing is that I desperately want one!

Whoa! That's cool.

It's proof Thunderbirds are like drag queens -  ................

or, even with an asymmetrical body and a big beak, with the right G string you can still be fabulous?

Those Guilds B-301s look cool, always have, always will.

+1.  Big regret I never got one of those way back when you could hardly give them away.

How about nope?  :P  The black holoflake is ok though.

I'm surprised that holoflake model isn't already being packed for Germany as we speak.

Wow, those sure have gone up in price. For years the X702s were going even cheaper than the B301/302.

Too weird for my taste.

finlover

Yeah, as much as I love the outrageousness of them, I can't see myself getting on stage with one--especially in a classic country band.  Maybe a younger guy (or a leggy drag queen) could pull it off, but on me it would be the equivalent of a mullet and leather pants!
