I'm the guilty one.. My buddy Tony Carl (Overdriven66) mentioned this bass to me on the phone and I immediately called Scott!!!

Stunner, but where's the serial number...?
    I presume lost during the headstock repair, that and the extra lage blob of solder on the tone control are my only concerns. I don’t think the wiring harness has been removed.  Every thing else looks right so I took a leap of faith. Even if it is a refin it's a good deal. Imho. I wish Bill was here to check it out.

   It's here!  Definitely original imho. The headstock and repair are over sprayed on a brighter red, not aged.  You can see checking under the touch up and the original color showing through worn spots and nicks. No black showing anywhere. The neck and body have heavy checking some honest player wear.  Looks to me like it has always been this color. If it is a refin it's a dam good one and been on the bass for a long time,  but I don't think that is the case. Pics soon.
