Thinking about it, you're probably best served with either Labellas or the TI for a Cream sound. Labellas were what bruce played after all. They are not as stiff as Chromes or Rotos, but not unnervingly soft either. That is what TIs are, but of course you can also bend them like hell (and they hold pitch well) plus they put an emphasis on the mids which also plays into a Bruce sound direction.

Never got on with flats...

This Bruce uses TI's and Chromes.  I prefer the TI's for short scale and the Chromes for long scale.

Sounding more growly with rounds on it.  Been using DR Lo-Riders on the LP Premium Plus 5er and they sound great.  Put them on the Bongo too.

No visits to the Vaterland lined up? Aren't you moving that facility?

No visits planned, but need to get back there.  Perhaps in 2010.

Yes, the Kelsterbach site got bought by the airport, so the plant is moving to the Höchst site.  It's all a circle!

I use flats on everything and I like D'Addario med. lights the best. Good bottom and very bright and true.

Whenever I use flats, it's either La Bella, TI's or Pyramid.Having said that, currently my eb-3 has La bella short scale rounds. This is one bass I like w/ rounds a little better than flats.
