Although the pearl Pee white used on some of the 80's V's looks dated now.

All those short scale Jap EB-3s are de facto Elitists. Epi has never offered a non-Jap short scale EB-3, just a short scale EB-0 (which is bolt on) and a long scale EB-3.

The Who performed Tommy for the frist time at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Holland. It was one of the few time he used a white P90ed SG. Love the colour.

Tsk, tsk, Herr Moderator, one look could have answered that question - look at the initial pic and bridge location. On EB-3Ls any bridge has a hard time not falling off the butt of the bass.

Isn't that a beauty?  According to the dealer, it was a custom order for a husband and wife duo - it supposedly has a matching SG sibling floating around out there somewhere.  It was up on Gbase for a paltry $22K USD.  Wonder what it actually sold for?  Probably still way more than my lifetime bass allowance would provide for... and probably a cost that would preclude it from being sweated on at a gig!

Depends. On the 19-fret slothead long scales, the bridge is right at the end. But the newer Epi EB-3s look like they have 22 frets (as in Daniel's middle photo). Longer neck means shorter distance from neck end to bridge.

Yeah, I love the white look.  There was an old Epi Newport up on Ebay a few years back that had been converted to the double pickup configuration, and refinned in white.  I was *REALLY* tempted to move on that one.

Love the white on that bass.  I had thought about  re-painting mine Pelham Blue &( SB 400 , I did in white , )has  some  recording guitar pups in it. Im planning to put some single coils back in it  when I find some.I  played an orig SB 400 a while back w/ singles and I liked it a lot more.It is staying white & I have to make another set of surrounds out of Holly,  but I need the single coils 1st.
