International tour for me

Well, sort of.  Rolling Stoned have been booked for an 8 night stint at an Irish pub in Singapore in December.  They're looking after us pretty well - airfares, hotel accommodation, hired backline, 2 meals per day, plus $150 each per night.

Should be a blast!

The pub we're playing at is across the road from Four Floors of Whores.  Even though you and the guys in your band scrub up quite well in skirts, the ladyboys at Four Floors would be tough competition for you.

I'll take the time off my day job as vacation leave (we get 4 weeks paid vacation leave per year in Australia), so not a problem at all.  Because everything except for drinks and spending money is paid for, the money I pocket for the gigs will end up paying for Elaine to take a 3 or 4 night package trip to Singapore to hang with me for part of the stint, so it ends up being a free holiday for the two of us.  My mum has said she will babysit :-)

Sounds better than a week at Lasseters in Alice Springs to me! Have a great time. Next you will be trying to explain to your boss how you need 3 weeks off to gig every night on one of those Pacific cruise boats. I have a few mates who do them  and love it.

Can't beat those kinds of gigs! I just did a one-off outside of Philly for P!nk. Plane tix, car, hotel all taken care of. Just showed up at O'Hare with a backpack, a gig bag, and my driver's license.
