Neck heavy?

I think the worse neck diver in my collection may be the JAck Casady epiphone.  that 34"  scale really adds to the problem.  Nice thick suade strap and a small metal bar with holes drilled thru it (bought off ebay years ago) that adds about 1/2 inch or so to the string length have both helped somewhat. But  it can be a fight.   my hollow univox has the same problem  as pilgrim bu the JC is worse. 
Like Dave i am more of a fender style man and i have had a few that had issues.  Especially some of the older really light resonant bodies but nothing compared to the hollow JC.

Interesting.  Before I got my Casady, I'd heard differing reports of its propensity for neck dive.  Mine isn't bad - a grippy strap takes care of it easily.  I got lucky with that one, I guess.

Mine has a strapbutton at the heel. I use a wide leather strap. But still it dives the moment you let go of the neck.
Actually I've been planning to install Gotoh GB528 res-o-lites to make the headstock lighter.
Maybe even re-cut the shape of the head to a Gibson shape. It might just tip the scale.

mine has the heel button too.  Let me know if the new tuners work.  The stock ones are not that solid looking anyway but worth a try.  used to use a gibson strap and it was out of control.  the suede does help but it has issues with that bass and the 34 scale.  my old 64 ebo is a little neck diver too but reasonable.

The Coronado has the strap button sitting on top of the heel, not on the neck plate. That means it will try to rotate outward when you let go, no matter what you do about headstock weight.

Is the Casady like that?

I'm sure the soviet made version probably would fail but made out of decent material it may work - it's still silly looking though.

That's not a telescopic strap button, it's a Russian spy antenna!
