Yup, they only came in black or cherry, but look best in the latter. Better high register access than a real TB IV, beefier sound in the low range, not as "singing" in the upper registers. Should have done a lot better than it did.

I saw a rockabilly band last year in which the bassist played a 5 string Studio. An odd choice for a rockabilly band but it sounded fantastic! After the show he told me he bought it out of a pawn shop for $275 or something like that. Crazy.
