To give the inmate credit where credit is due: I like Framton's voice, (most of his) songwriting and guitar playing, no he's not edgy or groundbreaking, but let's get over the Frampto Comes Alive-mania overeposure we all suffered from in the seventies. Not all is forgotten, but certainly forgiven.
Live these days, he seems to be a genuinely nice man with always a good word for the guys in his band.
