Just having fun, the room was full of very talented players including a couple of young women - of course way too much slapping etc. but you kind of expect it. Tony Puleo  (GK endorser) played a bit and discussed tone and getting your self heard in a band mix, nice guy! great player. A totally self indulgent day  :-*

Full credit for the attractively coordinated bass and shirt!

That shirt certainly belongs to a fearless, intrepid man!  8)

You all are a rip!

I have a full collection of colorful shirts meticulously acquired over the years with an accumulation of basses to match - I believe in accessorizing
whenever I can. Talking and playing loud is easy - as long as you walk the walk! ;)

Clearly in spirit at least...

Now that Hawaiian shirts seem to have gone the way of mullets and pointy headstocks I enjoy bringing them out
for that very reason!!!

And I never ever have to worry about someone wearing one that's just like mine!

I have no prob with the shirts. Great bunch of basses too, especially the Precision with what looks like some good old fashioned nitro tort if I'm not mistaken. On the other hand, wearing a thunderbird above the belt buckle should be a fineable offense   :-\
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

Okay, I take it back. It occurred to me John Entwistle wore his pretty high too. Rock on with your bad self basilisk.

You're right about the TBird, but my T-Rex arms won't allow for it. The only way I could play it effectively was to bring it up.

The Precision is a 1988 AVRI '62. What a wonderful bass that is/was. Laser straight neck and the pickup was the bomb. Literally
a brand new 62 P. I loved everything about it except the 1.75" nut. It just killed me in first position - made my hand hurt after a gig.
It was with a heavy heart that I had to flip it.

However, that put me on the path to creating another one more suitable. Last year I got hold of an AVRI 63 P body, dropped in a Warmoth slim profile Jazz neck and loaded it with an Aguilar 4P-60 pickup. I am a very happy camper now - all those same great attributes the 62 had with a neck I can manage. I have to say the Aguilar pickup is outstanding.

Nice fiesta red Precision! Perfect pic for Cinco de Mayo.
