Spotted on the evening news - evidently the person typing in the closure notices had a bad day...but there was a LONG list....

Crawl graphics are updated in near real time, probably by a micromanaging assistant news director, and are  usually a pretty good indication of the overall professionalism of the organization running them.

Ford Thunderbird.  ;D It's all in the angle I took the shot at. Water was maybe up the the floor pans. Mopped up about a total of 10 gallons in the basement throughout the day. I feel lucky, especially in the town where I live. Many others around here did far worse.

We may possibly get accumulating snow here tonight. Even if we do, it should be gone by tomorrow afternoon.

Snow on the weather forecast for the Highlands tonight...

Sunny and warm here today... didn't see much of it as I was out all night on a call-out...

I was right - 83 in St. Louis, 27 in Denver, 5+ inches of snow in Fort Collins.  Forecast is 48 tomorrow, 58 Friday, 70's next week.

Dave, our snow will also be gone by Friday.  The roads were bare and wet on the way home.

Looks like the snow will miss the metro entirely. It's warmed up instead of cooling down. Another bonehead prediction by the weatherclowns.

Used to be, we had weathermen who tried to give an accurate forecast. Now we have clowns whose job is to try to alarm everyone around the clock.

I did my first lawn-mow of the year the Monday before last. The next day it was snowing. ??? No accumulation, but that was a first for me. Waiting to see if we get any accumulation out of "Achilles" here in Missouri. Global warming - yeah right...
