Special run, for the German market. This is seriously gorgeous.

Not quite for me, but pretty cool regardless! It's nice to see the checkerboard binding on a new bass. Not a big fan of RED reds, but it goes well with the white plastic and maple 'board. If it were azure, I might have to sell something. ;D

The combo is awesome! My old 4001 was checkerboard...I thought that was so cool. I like the maple fingerboard, also.

Beautiful... truly beautiful...

Not a red fan, but always nice to see the checkerboard make a return.

I have to agree with your comment Dave.

Black crushed pearl sharkfins would have been an amazing addition....but it is still a gorgeous bass ( and I even HATE red!!)
....what is the neck profile like on these newer Rics? Thin/flat or fat/chunky?
-
I think red is OK, but do they com with a short scale? :)

Agree with mc2NY on the sharkfins, but those are awesome. I'll be inclined .....
