Yeah! Too bad Dusty doesn't get that much mic time these days. ZZ Top is really just the Billy Gibbons show these days.

Here's one from Queen:

Plus an older one (audio and video don't sync)

Jeff Beck Group did a cool one too. Pretty cool bass part, by Ron Wood if I'm not mistaken.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

If you want to hear the bass line played as it should be, check Duck Dunn's lines on this version, which closed the Blues Brothers.  I'm envious of how that man could play, and the clip is fun too!

The version on the live side of their Fandango album is the best.

i don't think 'supposed to be played' is relevant. the original bass part is very different from any version here. much simpler.

That Rockpalast Show broke ZZ Top in Deutschland, the following Monday (it was aired and played on a Saturday) their records - this was around Deguello  - sold out. They had never played in Germany before though they had a reputation as "every muso's favorite trio".

Dusty is of course an Elvis acolyte so it is no wonder that he put his heart in it (that said - I'm terribly unoriginal now - I believe Elvis' version was never bettered by anyone).

And watching Billy Gibbon(s) letting his outsize arms dangle down to his low-slung Paula ... I believe his last name indicates a certain ancestry ...

Gibbons aren't the only animals attracted to this song.
