New Jack Casady colours
« on: December 08, 2020, 03:36:06 AM »
I won't put it on the site of my magazine yet, cos I habve to wait four more hours (embargo) but I already found them online.

The JCS will be out soon in Sparkling Burgundy and Faded Pelham Blue:

I have other pics in which the blue looks darker. More Pelham, less powder.

I like both - but I also give the edge to the Burgundy.  It looks great.

The Casady is a really good bass.

I had a gold Casady and sold it because it was so big. Now I have seller's remorse.......

The Pelham Blue in the Instagram post looks authentic, but it doesn't look faded to me. Guess we'll have to see more examples.

When I think of faded pelham, I think more green. And the burgundy looks pretty red to me. But hey, new colors - YAY!  ;) I played a white one at GC a couple of years ago that looked great.

Historically, Sparkling Burgundy was the same as Candy Apple. I think they started out more red but could end up orange and rust from the clear coat. In the case of the faded pelham blue, I think they're saying the blue is faded as in lighter or washed out rather than a relic yellowed treatment. The black is still the sharpest. Kind of ying and yangish like Jimmy Page's Dano.
The Epi intros are nice but when is that announcement coming from Gibson that Scott was talking about? How long are they going to keep us hanging?
Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.
