..plus some more!
A while back I won a low impedance Gibson Les Paul Bass pickup. I grabbed my chance to give back the pickup that Uwe lent me.
Within a week another pickup popped up on Ebay. So I bid on that one too.
And I won it too.
But it wasn't just the pickup. It also featured a guitar Les Paul lo-z humbucker plus stacked pots, capacitors, an impedance transformer, a three position dial and a weird pickguard.
Haven't had a chance to hook it up to a bass, but it sure looks mighty cool 8)
I bet that guitar pickup sounds just great on a bass!

That is cool Rob. Congratulations! Was it European Ebay or U.S? Now you have yet another bass or two to install Lo Z's in. I have'nt used my LP Signature pickup yet.

Some day I will buy an Epi JC Signature and borrow your idea or maybe (I wish) there will be a Gibson LP SIgnature project lacking the regular rectangular pickup.

It was on USA Ebay.
I'm thinkin about building a tinker bass. To try weird ideas on.
And if these ideas turn out any good, implement them on a "real" bass.

And if the "real" bass is good, you'll no doubt have Bach produce it. ;)

I suggest we call it Bachvarken.

If I knew a source for accurate copies of the Lo-Z Les Paul Bass humbuckers I would already have ordered a series of those babies...
I'm not kidding.
