I bought a seventies Japanese SG knock off for 30 bucks
« on: January 08, 2009, 07:58:02 PM »

Here it is when I got it home.

And here it is after I cleaned it up and replaced the dodgy broken vibrato with a Functioning one.

It functions perfectly, plays really nice, the pickups however don't sound that nice to me and I'll probably swap them soon.

I think Blazer still thinks the BassOutpost is a guitar forum

(with apologies to Mojo Nixon)  ;D

Angus is in everybody out there.
Everybody's got Angus in them!
Everybody except one person that is...
Yeah, one person!
The evil opposite of Angus.
The Anti-Angus

Anti-Angus got no Angus in 'em,
lemme tell ya.

Michael J. Fox has no Angus in him.

And Angus is in Joan Rivers
but he's trying to get out, man!
He's trying to get out!
Listen up Joanie Baby!

(BTW, great score, Blazer)

while Angus rules, Malcolm is the key to AC/DC's glory

Well we must never forget that without the electric guitar there would never have been an electric bass. And Chris P let's not forget that in our native language we still call it "Basgitaar" (ie: Bassguitar)

Would the Gibson Thunderbird be there without the Firebird?

Would the fender P-bass (the 1957 version) look as classic as it does without the Stratocaster having been used to try out sunburst coloring and that typical Fender Headstock?

Would there ever have been a Rickenbacker 4005 bass without the 360 guitar having appeared first?

We shouldn't be ashamed of the fact that electric basses and guitars are related. Afterall, if we take the most popular bass ever, would there ever have been a Fender Jazz-bass without the Fender Jazzmaster having been there first alowing Fender to work on that now oh so familar looking and comfortable Offset waist shape?
