ha, guns and guitars. i can relate to that. i once made a piece of 'art' for a friend's record store. it was a hy flyer guitar sans any useful parts. i painted it white then shot it with everything i had.
12 gauge birdshot, .44 magnum, 357 magnum, .38 special +p, .40 S&W. a .22 and just for good measure a 12 ga. deer slug that nearly blew it in half.
it hung in the store for many years with many muscian signatures on it. cop customers would often enquire about the 'artist'.
btw i made this thing in my basement when my wife was out of the country.
