Well almost entirely red.
Looks like a sunburst, but most of the burst is obscured by the huge pickguard.
Must have been a custom color? I thought they only produced tobacco burst Rippers?

Seeing this video made my day. What a fun band!
You gotta love Bon with the bagpipes and the frantic grin on his face ;D

Cool video! I agree it's a sunburst but it looks like a red/orange to yellow. Never seen even a photo of one like that. It sure does change the look of it!

Those redburst Rippers were rare, but they existed. In fact, even some of the single cut prototypes came that way. Probably more custom than regular, but not really one-offish.

I had one years ago that had the tort pickguard. It was of the "fat bottomed girl" variety Ripper basses. Very lightweight bass and well worn. Hope I can locate a photo of it.

AC/DC on the back of the truck was one of the defining moments in Australian Rock history. This vid is to Australians what the Beatles on the roof was to the British.

I've forgotten which city this was filmed in but we here in Seattle inherited several of the streetcars shown in this vid.
Plenty more of the Red Ripper on Jailbreak!

Long way to the Top is a great song! In standard A tuning with a keyboard player to take care of the bagpipes we have great fun with it, tho I play the bass part a bit different. We have one version posted on YT with over 10k hits now, this one is from last Halloween, gets the crowd going everytime :)

Nice page, nice find.

It's pretty much derelict though. A ghost ship in the internet sea.

Looks like your office... (ducking)
