Tube retainers
«

I have a Fender Bassman 300 PRO it currently has 6550's in it . I am changing them out for KT-88's soon. My Question is will the spring retainers that are currently in the amp work with the KT-88'S or do I need to order some Bear Trap type retainers?
Thanks in advance

You rarely see bear traps With KT88's because most of them have a flange at the bottom of the socket, as well as many of them have metal capped sockets.
If you have spring retainers designed to fit 6550's, they will most likely fit KT88's.

Just a thought, check that there is room for KT88's. It's probably OK, but I've seen chassis designs that does not allow those sockets.
