The seldom-seen Brass Mass bridge leftovers. Too bad bout them frets.

They called it "The Claw". I can't imagine why anyone would want one on a P Special - the original bridge was also high mass. And the Claw was heavy - as if you needed that extra weight on a 11-12 lbs. bass.

It is funny lots of people slag off the Badass but the high mass concept keeps reappearing. Fenders even now sport a new high mass vintage bridge. The "dust pan" makes a joke of a nice P bass. Some thins really should be left as is.

I pointed this one out as I don't believe that is a replacement. I recall those came stock on a very small number of the first Specials.

thats the same bridge that Mike Watt used on his white tele bass which he used in the 80's with the Minutemen & fIREHOSE
