RD Project
« on: July 26, 2008, 08:38:10 PM »
Ok, I've been building guitars for a while, really is time to get back to basses..............................................Thinking about an RD, anyone have a tracing of theirs' ? Pics would also be helpful. I've got the pickguards and pickups for both an Artist and a Standard and a lot of the hardware.....

Thanks in advance...............

John, Barkless Dog, kindly sent me a tracing of his RD.  I would be happy to send you a copy but all of my bass stuff is in storage while our new house is being built    You might ask John for a trace - I would love to help but most of our stuff is locked away in a POD for the next three months

Thanks,
I'll try PMing Mr. Dog if he doesn't post here....... I'm not in the biggest hurry to get this one started, it seems every time I start ( or finish ) a project someone ( here in OKC ) wants me to build them a guitar  ;D not that I'm complaining, but when your job gets in the way of your projects!

You'll probably be into yours before I get to mine.  I won't be in my house until October, I have to get the place setup, get my shop reassembled and build about 25 feet of built in bookshelves for the missus  :o  I figure I'll be building stuff for myself by the end of December.

I have one of the NOS Gibson necks form the Great Dealz guys for the project.  I'll be watching for details of your build - good luck ;)

Sending PM.....

I'll be using a Greatdeals neck also....( they're probably going to be responsible for the production of "Gibson" basses increasing by a few percent this year

They have made so many dream basses come true and at such great prices. No crazy vintage prices.
