Got a new one.....

Looks exactly like this one. Jazz width neck, preamp sounds pretty good, I've heard worse. It cuts through the guitar and keys quite easily.

I was contemplating getting a Geddy Jazz so I was at GC trying some used ones out and saw this used Precision on the wall above me. It was twice the bass of a Geddy for a lot cheaper. Got it for $445, put some DR Hibeams on it and gave it a quick setup. Sounds great in the band mix, I like it also and right now its become the #1 bass. I am considering the Hipshot replacements for the tuners, otherwise it's fine.

That sure is purty, nice score !

Congrats
looks like it's got active electronics? I had a P special almost some  years back but it was passive. If I remember the body is a little smaller than a regular P bass.

rockinrayduke:
Body appears to be regular sized and it is active.

Dave W:
The Geddy has a super thin neck and a thin sound to match. When Keith was stationed in Korea for a year, I had his here and never could get a decent J sound out of it (IMHO).

The P looks nice, and you'll find another J that speaks to you.
